A patient presented from his dentist with an implant crown and an adjacent cerec 1 hour crown. She had been having infection around the dental implant crown. Clinical and radiographic examination reveal that the cerec crown was not adequately constructed. There was a space between the 2 crowns. The space resulted in food impaction toward the implant crown gingiva. Hence there was inflammation. In conclusion the cerec crown needs to be reconstructed. A laboratory crown can always be adjusted on the model and has more chance of customization.
